The first is as a mouth rinse. In a cup of water, add a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and mix well. Then, simply swish it around inside your mouth to help kill bacteria and fight stains. The second is used on your teeth directly. You will rub the vinegar on your teeth and then rinse your mouth with plain water.

Tip #2: Eat More Raw Fruits and Vegetables

It is almost impossible to be able to brush your teeth after every single meal. However, when a sink isn't around, it is possible to ensure that your keep a beautiful smile well intact. All it takes in crunching on some raw fruits and vegetables. This is because they have a high water content and are naturally abrasive, so they are able to assist in removing some of the bacteria that is left behind in your mouth after meals that tend to discolor your teeth. Some of the most popular fruits and vegetables that you should focus on are apples, celery and carrots.

Tip #3: Try to Avoid (or Minimize) Dark Foods and Beverages

If you are a huge black tea or red wine drinker or soy sauce or blueberry eater, then it may be time to think twice about it. The more foods and beverages with dark pigmentation that you consume, the more likely it is that you are going to be dealing with stained teeth. While you don't have to completely avoid them, you should try to reduce them from your diet. When you do eat or drink dark foods or beverages, try to brush as soon as possible afterward to minimize the stained effect.

You can also talk to your dentist about teeth whitening treatments, which can be done in the office or at home. However, the aforementioned tips will help keep your smile healthy and white in between those teeth whitening treatments.
